RAINBOW QUILT

Mrs. Trowbridge had committed to make a quilt for each of her children. On a cold breezy day in February she finally completed her lengthy task, having finished the beautiful rainbow pattern quilt that you see in her painting for her youngest son, Nils.

I have been inspired by Mrs. T's tradition of celebrating family events. I wish that I would have been able to pull away from my work responsibilities more often when our children were young. I hope that you can take time to celebrate occasions with your family.

This is one beautiful quilt. Violet certainly had her work "cut" out for her. The colors are truly a rainbow of charm and one of caring for young Nils.

But, you know what caught my eye and made me smile even more? That wonderful red and white striped pillow beneath the pillow case.

Such a wonderful quilt. Such love was put into that quilt. Not only by Mrs. Trowbridge but by you as well. Looks like a cozy place to lie down and sleep.

Great job Bron! Congratulations on completing this. I know it was a double edged sword for you.
