Since this past New Years Day, when The Trowbridge Chronicles made its debut, it has been a true joy to bring you a new webisode each week from Mrs. Trowbridge's journal. As a typically busy writer and illustrator, I would be remiss to say that it hasn't been a strain on my schedule. If fact, it's been seven days a week since Trowbridge was launched.
But I've looked forward to each Friday, when I have had the pleasure of letting my imagination sweep me back into the rain forest, where I am lost until Monday or Tuesday. But each week I ask myself: "How long can I keep up this pace?" Trowbridge has put a real strain on my regular projects.
My novel, Star Dude, is 99% completed, but it's been sidelined for several months, because Mrs. Trowbridge is such a cruel taskmistress. And my new picture book, The Booger Book, has been languishing as well.
So now I feel that it's time to make some priority adjustments, which will, undoubtedly affect the regularity of future Trowbridge webisodes. I'm not saying there will be no more Trowbridges, but they will be more sporatic in the future as I focus on other necessary projects.
I might add that if anyone has any bright ideas about how I can realize some income from Trowbridge, that would definitely play a role in the future of the feature. If some book editor stepped forward and said, "Let's turn your blog into a book", then I would have more reason to continue full steam with the weekly commitment. But until that time, I'll have to take things a week at a time. Thank you all so much for making my experience in the blogosphere such a rewarding one. I've appreciated your encouraging comments and loyal support.

It's been a fun few months, and you have quite a collection as it is. I hope you find time to give us a trowbridge fix every now and then.
Thank you for Trowbridge!
I've always been amazed at what you've done with Trowbridge.'sad that you have to put it aside for now.
I have loved the T Chronicles right from the beginning. They are imaginative and educating, they remind me of childhood picture books. I am sure they have found a place in the heart of many of your blog readers. Understandably there comes a time where one reflects about the amount of time put into the blog and the time it withdraws from other, more benefitting projects. I wish you good luck with your book plans and hope to see Mrs. Trowbridge around occasionally!
Oh...What a rather sad posting, Bron, but definitely understandable. You and your T-Chronicles will be highly missed! Hopefully something will come about for you to continue the series. Regardless, we all appreciate the sacrifice of your time to bring us pleasure. Keep in touch, please. : )
Bron it will be sad not to see Trowbridge every week. But I fully understand. I find it difficult to keep up with my blog at times. I hope on occasion you will be able to post now and then. Even if it's a quick one to let us know what is happening. Thank you for trowbridge so far.
Sorry to hear that but it is understandable. Please keep your site up though. I work in publishing and I'll show it to some people there.
Good luck on your other ventures. Keep us informed. I'm sure we'll see you back from time to time. Peace.
I will miss your wonderful chronicles...but, I totally understand! I look forward to a post every now and then...and, hopefully somebody will pick up your creation and run with it so you can profit from it! Good luck!!!
Bron - I am amazed that you've put so much time and effort into Mrs. T's chronicle for so long! I know how hard it is to post something every week when one has a full time job and other obligations. I've so enjoyed your beuatiful art, whimsical stories, and fascinating information about nature and wildlife. Good luck with you toher projects...please don't stay away too long!
waaaaa… not for you… i understand your plight… that's me waaaaing… just keep on working and we'll find you… no and then… good luck… and thank you for sharing so much…
Very nice! come back soon :)
So it's true then! I saw on the cover of the Irrational Enquirer that Ms T had run off with some scallywag named SocMo... Sorry to hear that. I hope she comes to her senses and makes a retun appearance from time to time...
I'm going to miss the weekly update! But I look forward to posts of your other work. You've done a lot of great work with Mrs. T, I hope it gets a chance to become more someday.
Cheers,
mishka
Wow, really good art. I'm going to have to explore your story more.
I've recently realized how time consuming art blogging can be, so I can understand your reprioritizing. I hope we can maybe see a little snippet occasionally? Have you tried sending some Mrs. T samples to publishers??
Please come back every now and then. I will miss you and Mrs T dearly. All the best to your endeavours. Keep me posted.
Bron, you and Mrs. T will be missed. You have brought us all so much pleasure with your magical stories. I sure hope someone who has industry ties will see the benefit of your story, with it's high adventure, educational information, imagination and creativity. Good luck on your other projects!
Bron! You do what you have to do! We will all just cherish our Trowbridge moments. I am so excited for you for your other projects though. . .Good luck and good for you taking things one week at a time!
Oh Bron, you and Mrs. T have been the highlight of many lives around the blog world and I am selfishly sad to see you leave. But it's not goodbye it is see you later, right? You will excel at everything you touch. You have a beautiful mind!!!
Will you still be participating in Illustration Friday? I do understand where you (& Mrs. T) are coming from and I wish you the best of luck with your other projects, which I can't wait to see! I believe Trowbridge will be published someday, it's just too good not to be. So I wish you luck in that arena as well. I wish I had some publishing connections for both of us! ;-)
GREAT assimilation to the prompt! I just wanted to drop you a short note to tell you that I really, really love your site and appreciate that you share with us all. But, girl...you need to publish your work and make some big bucks!!!!
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and thoughts. I DO plan on bringing Mrs. T back as frequently as I can manage and still keep up with my workload. I'm sure she will coax me back into Huckleberry Hollow very soon. So keep your eyes peeled for the eminent return of The Trowbridge Chronicles, coming to a computer screen near you.
well, yes I understand you...in these days I'm thinking the same:can go on blogging simply because I enjoy it, should I try to make some sort of cash out of it, somehow?...hope to see new Trowbridge adventures anyway. they are great...
I'm going to miss updates to Trowbridge, but I hope you'll keep the archives around - thank you for such a fun adventure!
I´love your work...
Suerte y saludos desde Buenos Aires...
Yes U must do a book for Mrs. T at some point. Those that R not computer literate would delight in Mrs. Ts magical life! I will stay tuned. ; )
Big smooch,
The Tart
Mrs. T adds such a bright light to Illustration Friday, natch!
I really wish someone would publish Trowbridge. I've always thought it would make an amazing book- something I could share and read to my kids. Maybe someday-
