THE QUIET GOLDEN DAWN

Even in Huckleberry Hollow life can be stressful at times, especially if you're a Trowbridge shrew. You'd be stressed, too, if you had to eat your weight in grubs and sowbugs everyday just to stay alive. That's what a Trowbridge shrew has to do. On this week's page, Mrs. Trowbridge writes about how she deals with her stress.

  5. What a beautiful sentiment...I love the dawn too, even if I"m rarely up that early to enjoy its benefits. On occasion, though, I do walk up to the beach early when I have the whole shore to myself and I feel the way Mrs. T does. The illustration is gorgeous, Bron! I've been meaning to ask you...what is your medium? The background almost looks real!

  10. Ahhh, to live in Mrs Trowbridge's world, not that the bittersweet isn't a part of her life as well, it's just that she takes everything in stride with a simple elegance and finesse. A lovely place of peace and quiet, so beautifully rendered!

I could go for a de-stressing stroll with Mrs. T. to sit on a rock by a babbling creek at dawn. Sounds like just the cure. Lovely illo as usual, Bron.
